2012 Indoor Results

The New Balance Indoor Nationals offer young athletes the chance to compete in track and field sports in the colder months and to prepare their bodies and their skills for summer competitions.

The 2012 New Balance Indoor Nationals took place from March 9-11 at the New York City 168th Street Armory. Once again New Balance was the title sponsor and their presence was felt in a number of ways, particularly in their interaction with the young athletes.

The big challenge this year was the conflict with the USA Track & Field Junior Championships, a qualifier for the 2012 International Association of Athletics Federations World Junior Championships. Schedules were adjusted so that athletes had the opportunity to compete at both meets.

Once again, many events at the Junior championships were dominated by college freshman. There was a ton of healthy competition and sportsmanship as a result, easily making it the highlight of the national high school track and field season.
